Old Bird

This week’s sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers was a good one.  I decided to use SU Sweet Pea designer paper to coordinate the two background pieces.  The owl is from Inkadinkado.  Although I am not fond of real birds (OK, some may call it irrational phobia; I call it a healthy fear of completely unpredictable creatures), I LOVE bird stamps.  I’ve had this set for years and especially like the faces on these guys.  I tried one of my new Lawn Fawn Stitched Labels die for the sentiment.

Simple Thank You

For this card, I used a pretty dogwood stamp that was given to me by a friend.  It’s bare rubber, unmounted, so have no idea where she found it or who made it!  This card uses the colors from Paper Players challenge 257

and Freshly Made Sketches sketch 199.

Dogwood Thank You

I used Stampin’ Up card stock in Bermuda Bay and Old Olive.  Ink is StazOn Jet Black, and the sentiment and Kraft paper is Papertrey Ink.

You Are Amazing – A color and sketch challenge

It has been a million (ok 4?) years since I’ve posted anything I’ve made.  What happened there?  Anywho, I made this card with this week’s Freshly Made Sketches  and Color Throwdown challenges.

you are amazing.

I went with some oldie but goodie colors and stamps – I made this card with Papertrey Ink stamps from the Beautiful Blooms set.  I used Stampin’ Up! ink and paper in Groovy Guava, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, and craft

PTI Stamp-a-faire #3

Ooh, I had fun with this one.  Here’s my card for challenge #3 from PTI Stamp-a-faire. I know it’s no where near Halloween, but I thought making a full moon out of it was a cool way to work that punched hole into the card.  Had a hard time getting a good picture of it, but it looks pretty neat in person.  CS is SU very vanilla and perfect plum.  Ink is black Staz-on, yellow cat’s eye, and Ranger vintage photo distress.  The stamps are from PTI Spooky Sweets II.

CPS 221

I just got the Elegant Soiree paper pack, had no idea it was fixing to retire.  Oh well, I’m so behind the curve 🙂  Here is a card I made for CPS Sketch 221.

Everything is Stampin’ Up, except the sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink set Floral Fusion.
