Yoda Birthday

My nephew’s 7th birthday is coming up, and I was stuck on a card idea (he’s not a little boy anymore, after all!) when I came across the PTI Make it Monday – Make it With Money.  We were planning on giving him a gift card for a new video game he’s been wanting (or my brother’s been wanting??), so I thought the wallet project was perfect.  He’s a huge Star Wars fan, so I had to incorporate that, too.

I used SU Wild Wasabi for the wallet.  I kept the outside pretty simple, using the SU Stamping’ Around Star wheel with VersaMark to create the background, and I stamped his initial in Chocolate Chip.

I printed the image on the insert from the internet on Papertrey Ink White card stock. I cut some velcro to hold it shut, an drew on some stitching detail.

  1. super cute wallet card – love the star wars twist! i’ve used a variation of the coin purse version for gift cards before too, but cash works just as well, haha!! thanks for playing make it monday!
